History & Leela

The eternal story of Shri Radha Krishna

Vrindavan Leela

In the forests, groves and courtyards of Vrindavan, Shri Krishna performed His most enchanting leelas — Makhan chori (butter stealing), the lifting of Govardhan Hill, the subduing of Kaliya Naag in the Yamuna, and the divine Maharaas with Shri Radha and the gopis on the full-moon night of Sharad Purnima.

Every particle of Vrindavan — its kadamba trees, the Yamuna's banks, the dust of its lanes — is worshipped by devotees as witness to these eternal pastimes.
